About The Langton Arms
The Langton Arms, an attractive 17th century thatched inn, occupies a peaceful spot in the village of Tarrant Monkton, near Blandford Forum in Dorset. Tarrant Monkton is a small thatched Dorset hamlet nestling in the Tarrant Valley, surrounded by some of the most spectacular countryside in England, which has changed little since it was immortalised in the novels of Thomas Hardy at the turn of the century.
The Langton Arms is a free house run with true care and offers a fine selection of drinks and an ever-changing supply of outstanding real ales. The Inn is renowned for its excellent food and offers a wide variety of interesting home-made dishes. The Stables Restaurant and conservatory is situated in the comfortable surroundings of an old converted stable, the friendly atmosphere making it an ideal place for a relaxing evening.
You’ll find the setting romantic and relaxing, complemented by waiter service. You are welcome to consult our Head Chef as to any special requirements that you may have. After your meal, feel free to relax with coffee and brandy in the restaurant’s comfortable Lounge.
The Langton Arms is proud to be one of a select few to offer a Civil Wedding Licence – a wonderful achievement for this rural country pub, which has grown to become a most popular wedding venue in Dorset.
