About The Olive Tree

Welcome to the Olive Tree, a country pub and restaurant specialising in fish and seafood, and set deep in the Surrey countryside, yet just a few minutes drive from Guildford, Woking, the A3 and the M25. We have been in the pub and restaurant business in the Guildford area for over 20 years and have built a reputation for consistently good, high quality food - good pub grub, but much more, too - and we have a long-standing, faithful and regular clientèle to bear this out.

At The Olive Tree, we have a large bar area to eat in and a soft seating area by our open fire, as well as a a comfortable dining room, and a patio area. In the restaurant, we use only the highest quality ingredients and our emphasis has always been on using locally-sourced produce wherever possible. Over the years, we have built up a good relationship with our suppliers: meat from Fulk Brothers of Pirbright, Surrey - fish and seafood delivered daily straight from boats in the West Country and also from Billingsgate, and our fruit and vegetables are delivered fresh every morning from Surrey suppliers.

Our menus - both the pub menu and the restaurant menu - reflect the seasons, English asparagus in April/early May - simply served with hollandaise sauce. Surrey-reared spring lamb, an abundance of berries in the summer, English apples in autumn, game in winter. We hope to have the pleasure of seeing you soon

Review of The Olive Tree - Guildford - Surrey written

Went to The Olive Tree on a cold, windy evening and was greeted with toasty log fires. I had reserved a table in advance - good job too, because they were pretty busy. Food was served quickly and efficiently. My char-grilled sirloin steak was excellent and my partner enjoyed the scallops wrapped in bacon with a cream and cointreau sauce. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and the bill left me with change in my pocket! All in all, a very pleasant evening. Highly recommended.
