About Fox & HoundsSituated in the conservation area of Barnston on the Wirral Peninsula, The Fox and Hounds has all the charm and characteristics of a traditional village inn. A lot of the original character was retained when the downstairs living accommodation was converted into drinking space in 1984. The Lounge Bar is ideal for a quiet drink and makes an ideal dining area at lunchtimes or evenings. The Old Bar or “Snug” with its open fire in the winter months is the original bar & displays various collections of bric-a-brac. The Snug has also kept its original characteristics with its original wood block floor, oak fire surround and fixtures and fittings giving a warm and welcoming feel to the room. The general decor of this pub is true to its origins, featuring an assortment of memorabilia collected over its years.
