We offer great food & drinks in a relaxed environment and our team of professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff aim offer the best possible service & ensure you have a great experience with us. We are very proud of The Duke, it is our home too, and we like to ensure everyone feels welcome when they arrive. So come and make yourself comfortable on our cosy sofas, or in our sunny restaurant areas. We’ve also got a great space for private dining and a garden to the front where you can soak up the sun - you can even bring your dog along! Our head chef has a passion for food which is clear from our menu. We offer a selection of traditional British pub classics plus daily changing specials using only the freshest & locally sourced organic ingredients wherever possible. We are renown in the area for having the best kept ales. With a great selection of cask conditioned ales plus an extensive array of lagers and ciders both draught and bottled. Our wine list has something from every continent too so you’ll be spoilt for choice! Food is served from 12 until 10.30pm every Monday to Saturday, and Sundays from 12 until 9.30pm with a traditional Sunday roast available all day. We look forward to seeing you so pop along soon! |

When we went, most of the tables in the bar area were reserved but we were soon found a table. We had steak and chips and belly of pork with black pudding and dauphinoise potatoes. The food arrived in good time, piping hot and was cooked to perfection. (And everything is organic).
Outside the pub was busy with lots of people, many of whom had come inside to look for a table. Probably something local - but it didn't disturb us. It's a bustling, classy pub with a nice atmosphere. Recommended.
