The Highwayman is a very family orientated pub with a well earned reputation for serving delicious home-cooked food, the ethos being a friendly and relaxed approach to quality dining. It was the first pub to get the 'Taste' award in 2008 and got the most recommendations in the 'Where's good to eat guide' As well as a massive bar, huge lounge and spacious conservatory there is also good outside seating and a fabulous children's play area. The food is tasty, the beer is great!

The Highwayman is very "nouveau pub" without quite sinking to the depths of "nouveau theme pub"! The beer is OK. The food is OK. The staff are fine. The surrounds are "nouveau OK". The loudspeakers are turned up just a bit too high.
Difficult to say much against it, but difficult to find too much in it's favour. It's bland, it's a pub. You can get a drink and something to eat. That about sums it up!
