I have to agree with JackHigh here. This is a local pub catering to the needs of the village people who they treat as friends. If you are a stranger in their midst, you may have to work at your diplomacy levels to begin with, but maybe the effort could be worthwhile!

What were you expecting stantheman? A cocktail bar? Try talking to some of the locals. Maybe they might have more intelligence than your goodself. Rating a pub after one pint?? Did you use your own stripey straw?

If your grandparents were born in Foxdale and lived there all their lives, and your parents were born in Foxdale and lived there all their lives, and you were born in Foxdale and lived there all your life, you might (just) qualify to drink at The Baltic. Otherwise, be careful because these people take inbreeding to a new level. One pint was enough for me!
